 Kitchen takeover @ Cegin Diod

by | Apr 16, 2024 | Latest News, Uncategorised | 0 comments

Cegin Diod are offering local chefs and food businesses the opportunity to takeover their kitchen to showcase their unique menus. Like many other hospitality businesses, Cegin Diod has found recruiting staff/chefs difficult but is turning this issue into an opportunity and is looking to collaborate with other exciting welsh food businesses to showcase the best that the welsh food scene has to offer.

Lisa Jones owner of Cegin Diod says, “There are currently lots of challenges in the hospitality industry but this kitchen takeover is a perfect opportunity for businesses to share resources and give our customers the opportunity to try exciting and delicious new menus. Likewise for collaborating businesses it gives them the scope to test their recipes on new customers and give them a wider profile.

Established in 2023, Cegin Diod is situated in the newly re-renovated Yr Hen Farchnad in Llandeilo, and is the sister business to Diod cafe in the town. The ethos of both places is to keep it local, and supporting local businesses is important at Diod. Customers enjoy Welsh food and drink from producers such as Gower Coffee, Tea Traders Wales, and sell wine and beer selections from Award winning Welsh businesses. And both places play a large part in the active events calendar of Llandeilo

Yr Hen Farchnad is an ideal space for events and Cegin Diod is keen to bring the buzz of pop-ups and street food markets to the space while bringing new taste sensations to the people of Llandeilo and Carmarthenshire.
